Unnumbered Canadian Identification
Description
Have you ever walked into the doctors office or a bank and had them demand a social insurance number or even the actual card? Yeah we have to... that's why we started to carry the Unnumbered Canadian Identification card. When asked for the Social Insurance Card or our Social Insurance Number we just simply present this ID and ask them to make a copy to keep on file as well to avoid being asked for it in the future.
The back of the card looks as follows:
The text on the left hand side reads:
"This party is a Natural Born Canadian and either does not have or refuses to disclose his/her Social Insurance Number (SIN).
RSC 2000, c 5 provided that: Organizations must obtain consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information, including a SIN. Unauthorized use or disclosure may constitute an Indictable Offense leading to fines and imprisonment.
PIPEDA makes it unlawful to require a SIN unless it is specifically required by law."
Note that this card is ONLY APPLICABLE FOR CANADA!!!
